Liz Howes VN BScHons CVPM
Liz has worked in veterinary practices since she left school. She trained as a veterinary nurse, qualifying in 1993 and eventually becoming a head nurse. In 2001 Liz took a break from nursing to complete a zoology degree but found herself drawn back when she saw a job advertised at a cat only clinic. As a self-confessed crazy cat lady, this was her dream job! The business was a new start up and gave her the opportunity to learn about the business and management side of the role, which she enjoyed so much she decided to pursue a practice management career. Having completed some training Liz achieved her certificate in veterinary practice management in 2010 and has since gone on to manage several veterinary practices. She lives locally with Mokey, her incredibly spoilt oriental cat!
Aly joined Brook House in November 2008 having started out many moons ago as a PA working both in the UK and Australia before taking a career break to have her daughter. Following her return to work, Aly spent 10 years working in the healthcare sector managing a domiciliary care agency with a special interest in palliative care. Aly loves working at Brook House and very much enjoys welcoming our lovely clients and their wonderful animals into our practice, making them feel at home in a safe and caring environment. She has a very handsome grand-dog called Iggy Pup, a Springer Spaniel, who she adores. Unfortunately he lives in Northumberland so she doesn’t get to see as much of him as she would like. Outside of work, Aly enjoys meeting up with friends and family, walking and going to the pub!
